UPDATE : The Future Of Transcendent Translations! June 26, 2010Posted by transcendenttranslations in English, General, Kizumonogatari, Updates.

I know its been awhile since any of you heard from us…lets just say ALOT of things happened, one of the main setbacks was lack of communication with one of our translators due to internet service and PC problems, all in all I believe in the end it was his PC problems that had him down, reason being that 2 chapters of the Kizumonogatari novel with which were translated was lost due to a failed hard drive.
We’ll lets not draw too much upon that, I was seriously considering for awhile now to completely disband and shutdown Transcendent Translations, but little by little e-mails were coming in from concerned readers asking when to expect new chapters , sending their many thanks and forwarding us their encouragement to set back to work. That alone had a dramatic impact on me…well that and seeing how many visits a day we got with no content being posted.
So as you all have been so kind to us sending back your honest queries and comment I’ll like to be honest to you all as well, Transcendent Translations is in dire NEED of a English to Japanese/Spanish translator, I’ve tried consulting various blogs, forums and sadly either no one responded or they left us high and dry with empty promises. Currently (once again) we’re in need of “translators” on the team so if you or you know someone that’s interested in translating Japanese light novels /manga please send your interest to firstname.lastname@example.org .
As for our group project with Lanove that to this day is a bit unconfirmed due to lack of communication with our contact :S
We’ll be partnering up with Lanove February 27, 2010Posted by eddyak in English, Español, Updates.
So we at Transcendent Translations have decided to team up with the folks over at Lanove… so we can actually get something done for once.
We’ll still be on this site, and they’ll still be on their own site, but our translators, editors and such will go back and forth and work on the titles they want to. All releases we take part in will still be available on our site, only now we have more chapters and more staff at our disposal. Hooray for us.
Eddyak: http://z0r.de/?id=1672&lang=en – I could stare at this for hours…

Praise your respective deities, good luck underwear and leprechauns! Our translator has returned! Now we can get back to our daily routine of bugging him for releases!
We’ll have the rough translations by Saturday. Our real releases will have to wait til Otohane gets his butt off World of Warcrack.
[01:17:11] Eddyak: how do I edit staff again…
[01:17:26] Eddyak: oh, right, the big button that says “edit page”.
[01:17:28] Eddyak: I knew that.

So, we haven’t given you guys so much as a chapter in about 4 months. And here’s why: Our translator’s just vanished off the face of the internet. We haven’t been able to contact him, so we’re just hanging around, waiting for him to show up. Apparently, a translation group without a translator can’t do much. Go figure.
So, for the time being, we thought we’d ask you guys to help us out. We’re looking for a translator willing to do Kizumonogatari and/or To Aru Majutsu No Index. If you guys can translate Jap->Eng, or know someone who can, we’d love to hear from you. Email or message me at email@example.com if you can do it/can blackmail some chump generous person willing to give their time to bring another great novel to the english-speaking world.

If you’re wondering what we’ve been up to and why we haven’t released anything in about 2 months, you’ll be unhappy to hear we’ve made almost zero progress with the translation since the prologue of Kizumonogatari.
First, HTH (our translator) went off home, taking the raws with him, and, as our luck would have it, he didn’t have internet there (still doesn’t). We’ve managed to get a few updates from him, and he says he’s done translating chapters 1 to something.
Secondly, another staff member (Otohane) also vanished for Christmas/New Year’s/until the end of time, and, apparently, Harry managed to send us the translated scripts via him- only he didn’t get them. Good ol’ reliable internet. So we’ve been stuck counting. Please don’t ask what.
In other news (better news, we hope), after about a year or two of no updates at all of the first novel from Baka-Tsuki, on my request, HTH’s taken up starting to translate To Aru Majutsu No Index (A Certain Magical Index). Those of you who have seen the anime or read the manga will probably recognise Kamijou Touma, seen below bravely facing off against a gang of street thugs.
So, if you want something new, and pretty awesome, check out out our newest translation… Whenever HTH gets back from Timbuktu, or whatever.

Due to our current translator performing both Japanese to English and Japanese to Spanish translations, in addition to his somewhat inconvenient technological setbacks; we as a group, have opted to put forward an opening for a Japanese to English translator. This will allow our aforementioned one to focus solely on Japanese to Spanish and will improve our release schedule greatly!
Please contact me if you are interested in taking up this position!

Well after our successful release of the first chapter of Kizumonogatari we here at Transcendent Translations took in some of our readers feedback into consideration and decided to implement a few minor (major for some of us) changes to our releases.
Changes to the following will be made:
- Watermark – Image, size and position on release will be changed and limited.
- Font – More professional font.
- Image coding – Will be changed to .png to sustain image quality and lower data size.
Chapter 002 of Kizumonogatari has a little drawback at the moment as most of our team has midterms and can’t continue production until they’re finished.
On further note the Romanian translation for chapter 001 of Kizumonogatari is complete, this in turn will be released to the public after we receive the new artwork for our watermark.

This is the prequel to the Bakemonogatari series which tells us the tale of
Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade and her rather intriguing relationship with Koyomi Araragi.
So without further ado :
